Description

Now to my own fantasy version of the Brisbane railway map if Brisbane did not have NIMBY'S (Not in my Backyard people), bad politicians and poor planners in the first place. So please no nasty comments!!

In this version, I have included the light rail which Brisbane so deseparetly needs, as well as the train lines. There are ten train lines and eight light rail lines.

To start off with, the Ferny Grove line once continued on but was closed due to low pratonage, however in my version it continues on to Samford Village where it now terminates. The Airport and Doomben branch lines are combined as one line with the Doomben line extending to Eagle Farm. The Redcliffe peninsula now has two lines both terminating at Scarborough in my version. For the Shorncliffe line, I made Boondall a single station and instead of terminating the line at Shorncliffe, the train line continues on from Sandgate northbound to Brighton and then crosses over the Houghton Highway bridge into the peninsula. The other line is the brand new line from Petrie via Mango Hill. The Caboolture line continues north-west along the forgotten line to Wamuran before eventually terminating at Woodford. I've also included the missing stations at Fitzgibbon and Caboolture South.

To the south of the city, starting off with the Ipswich/Rosewood line which remains mostly unchanged except with Sadliers Crossing replacing the name Thomas Street. The Springfield Central line now includes more stations at Ellen Grove and Camira plus an extension to Redland Plains. The Flagstone line is basically my version of the a dual gauge line (narrow and standard) so the people who live along the line can finally get a passenger service, not just the freight trains from New South Wales that always use it. Stations include Acacia Ridge, Parkinson, Hillcrest and Greenbank. The Beenleigh line has an extra branch line that was once part of the former Beaudesert line which goes to Logan Village. Woodridge replaces Trinder Park while Logan Central replaces Woodridge. Both Flagstone and Beenleigh train lines now go via an underground tunnel with stations at Brisbane Arcade and Woolloongabba. Finally, the Cleveland line extends to Redland Bay.

The Light Rail lines include The Gap, University and Inner south-east, Jindalee from Oxley, Gailes to Loganholme, Beenleigh via Pacific Motorway, Cleveland via Carindale and Capalaba, Bald Hills to Browns Plains via Airport and the Albany Creek circle and Eagle Junction branch.

I have also included the ferries along the Brisbane River!

So feel free to enjoy!
