My fantasy version Canberra railway map

Description

This is my own fantasy version of the Canberra railway map if Canberra did not have NIMBY'S (Not in my Backyard people), bad politicians and poor planners in the first place. So please no nasty comments!!!

After hearing the news that Canberra will finally get some railways in the form of light rail. I've decided to make Canberra a light-rail dominated city. However, there is some heavy rail but, in my version, there is only four stations to it. Three of the stations are on my version of the Sydney-Canberra-Melbourne high speed rail, at Canberra Airport, Canberra (the CBD station) and Belconnen Terminal. The fourth one is at Tuggeranong along the Monaro Highway. In my version, it is part of the Queanbeyan-Thredbo line which goes along the Cooma line before heading west to Thredbo (the Snowy Mountains heartland).

The light rail consists of five district lines; Belconnen, North Canberra/Gungahlin, South Canberra/Queanbeyan, Woden/Weston Creek and Tuggeranong.

Belconnen has two lines which includes stations at the Universities, the Institute of Sport and Belconnen Terminal before heading out into the suburbs. North Canberra/Gungahlin has three lines to Canberra Airport, Hackett and Ngunnawal. South Canberra/Queanbeyan is basically a single line to Queanbeyan via South Canberra which includes stations at Parliament House and Manuka Oval. Woden/Weston Creek goes via the Embassies, Yarralumla before arriving at Woden Terminal then doing a circle around the suburbs, while the Weston Creek section has a loop and two single station branches. Finally, Tuggeranong consists of a fast service down the middle of the freeway until you get to Tuggeranong Terminal where two branch lines seperate. One line to Fadden and the other to Tuggeranong train station for the Thredbo service. The main line continues south to the suburb of Banks.

So feel free to enjoy!
